Call for papers

Crisis and imagination

The Call for Papers is now closed.

Before making your proposal please read the theme, and then browse the workshops to find a suitable home for your work. Then note the following:

  • Proposals had to be made via this online form, not by emailed attachment.
  • In a departure from previous EASA practice we requested just one abstract of 150 words long. Please stick to that limit!
  • Each workshop page shows a title and abstract and the names of its convenors. It does not show convenor email addresses, for anti-spam reasons. So If you wish to contact the convenors directly, there is an in-built email messaging system. If you cannot work that, please email conference(at)easaonline.org to obtain relevant email addresses
  • Workshop convenors have been asked to make their decisions over which papers to accept by mid-March. They will email you. Accepted abstracts will then show on the workshop page.
  • You may only make one presentation, although under EASA’s two-role rule participants may also convene one plenary session, workshop, or roundtable; or be discussant in one plenary session, workshop, or roundtable. You may make multiple proposals however this is not encouraged; instead we will attempt to rehouse any papers which are initially rejected by workshop convenors after the call has closed. This will take place from mid-March to mid-April.
  • Each presenter will be given up to a maximum of 30 minutes - usually 20 minutes presenting and 10 minutes for questions/discussion.
  • All presenters must be members of EASA (during 2010), and have paid their subscription before the conference. However you may propose a paper before joining. If and when your paper is accepted we will chase non-members to sign up. You are, of course, welcome to become a member now - click here to join EASA.

Any queries with the above, or problems with the online messaging or proposal system, please email conference(at)easaonline.org.
