Networks: Europeanist Network
New external website established
A new and independent website for the Europeanist network has been set up, hosted by Universidad Complutense. We hope that it becomes a useful tool in pursuing the aims of the network. Your comments and suggestions as to how to improve the design/content of the website are most welcome. We would also like to receive your e-files (ready to be uploaded to the website) containing whatever relevant news and information about academic events you would like to share with members of the network. We will post these on the web on a regular basis.
An important section in the website is dedicated to the Europeanist Studies in Socio-Cultural Anthropology and Ethnology book series. We invite you visit this section and consider submitting a publication proposal, if you have a manuscript or edited book on a theme that meets the requirements of the series. Also you are invited to commit more of your time and effort to the series project by joining the pool of reviewers. The general editors of the series, via the editorial office, will draw on this pool to read and anonymously assess all manuscripts submitted for publication in the series.
Obituary - Marianne Gullestad
We announce with regret the disparition of our collegue, Marianne Gullestad (1946-2008), a distinguished Norwegian scholar whose work has been a source of inspiration for many of us. She was also a member of the Europeanist Network and we will all regret her warm presence.
