Global Challenges in Transport Programme 2020 at the University of Oxford: New diversity scholarship

Dear all,

We are delighted to announce our first call for applications for our new Di= versity Scholarship to attend the Global Challenges in Transport Programme 2020, a programme of short residential cou= rses organised by the Transport Studies Unit at the University of Oxford.

We are strongly committed to delivering a programme that allows knowledge e= xchange and dialogue amongst a rich and diverse group of researchers and pr= actitioners from different countries and backgrounds.

This scholarship provides a unique opportunity for under-represented voices= to participate in our courses.

The scholarship will cover all tuition fees and accommodation, plus visa an= d travel expenses up to =A3500, enabling beneficiaries to attend one of our= courses in 2020.

Candidates applying must satisfy the following requirements:

  • Be a national of (and currently working/ researching in) countries wh= o receive official development assistance from the Development Assistance C= ommittee (DAC) of the Organisation for Economic C= o-operation and Development (OECD);
  • Have fluency in the English language; and
  • Show strong evidence of work/ research experience in the transport po= licy/ planning sector in line with the specific theme/ content of the cours= e for which they are applying.

The application deadline for a scholarship is 8 weeks before the start date= of each course.
