An invitation to 'A Passage Through Passages'- On Roads in South Asia

Dear all,

You are invited to 'A Passage Through Passages: On Roads in South Asia', an exhibition exploring questions of mobility, development and climate change through road stories from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and the Maldives.

Part of a five-year European Research Council funded ethnographic study of new and newly rebuilt roads across the region, the exhibition includes a new 5-channel film by CAMP, 'A Passage through Passages', which takes now-impossible journeys between nation-states, on roads after and before conflicts, and onto coralline oceanic edges.

Endoscopic views from the interior of the road system, and forays across the porous membranes through which pride, money, data, climate, and vulnerability are connected to it, heighten our sense of developmental possibility, failure, and the deep ambiguity of road achievements. =E2=80= =98A Passage Through Passages=E2=80=99 is inspired by ethnographic and archival = work in five field sites.
