New Book with chapters on circumpolar mobilities: "Lifestyle in Siberia and the Russian North”
Dear Colleagues,
I would like to share a link to the book =E2=80=9CLifestyle in Siberia and = the Russian North=E2=80=9D (ed. J.O. Habeck), which is the final result of the = Project "Conditions and Limitations of Lifestyle Plurality in Siberia", conducted at the Max Planck Institute for Social Anthropology, Germany in 2010-2014.
The book has several important chapters regarding infrastructure changes, leisure mobilities and spatial imaginaries in the Circumpolar North and Siberia.
Chapter 2 Implications of Infrastructure and Technological Change for Lifestyles in Siberia
features so far the most comprehensive review of the changes in mobility habits and infrastructure in Siberia over the last three decades.
