New DFG Research Unit on 'Transborder Mobility and Institutional Dynamics' (FOR5183) - job openings

Dear list-members,

The German Research Council (DFG) has recently approved a new Research Unit= on =91Transborder Mobility and Institutional Dynamics=92 (FOR5183).

This Research Unit will commence work in autumn 2021 (with some sub-project= s starting in early 2022) and brings together scholars from sociology, anth= ropology and political science based at the University of Siegen, the Unive= rsity of Cologne and Zeppelin University (Friedrichshafen). It aims to exam= ine the nexus between transborder mobility and institutions from a transreg= ional and transnational perspective that extends beyond European host count= ries and explores the ways in which institutions frame, shape or control mo= bility (especially labour, educational and forced migration) and seeks to p= onder the influence of these forms of mobility on institutional endurance o= r change. The particular focus of the Research Unit=92s theoretical and emp= irical analyses are the institutional dynamics =96 i.e. processes of instit= utionalisation, de- and re-institutionalisation as well as institutional pl= uralisation =96 that accompany transborder mobility and the mechanisms of i= nternal and external institutional regulations of mobility.

I would like to draw your attention to two Research Unit-related job offeri= ngs (sociology, anthropology, political science or related disciplines) whi= ch might be of interest to list members:
