New book: Sonic Ethnography
Dear all,
I am happy to announce the publication of Sonic Ethnography, a book on
sound, identity and heritage in Basilicata (southern Italy) that I wrote
with Nicola Scaldaferri. Printed in full colour, Sonic Ethnography comes
with 76 images and more than one hour of sound recordings. It also includes
an afterword and a soundscape composition by Steven Feld. The book is
available in paperback (50% off with code OTH861) or Open Access:
https://manchesteruniversitypress.co.uk/9781526152008/
Best regards,
Lorenzo Ferrarini - Lecturer in Visual Anthropology
University of Manchester - Department of Social Anthropology
