Ageing Conference 2019, Manipal, India

Dear Colleagues,

Hope this mail finds you well! As part of my Chair position in Manipal we are organising a conference on New Directions for Research on Ageing: Work, Care and Mobility on 01 and 02 March, 2019 at MAHE, Manipal. I attach the flyer with this mail. Maybe this conference is interesting to you or one of your colleagues. Could you please also share this call with your colleagues and students?

We are looking for research on ageing which uses a visual format. We offer opportunities to present your work in the form of short films and photo-exhibitions.

The conference brings together Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Center for Innovative Ageing, Swansea University UK; International Institute for Population Sciences, India and Department of Human Geography and Planning, Utrecht University, The Netherlands. In this conference we encourage researchers to push the boundaries of ageing research by exploring new conceptualizations of ageing research with innovative theories, data sets, analysis techniques and ways of sharing scientific knowledge. Through the interrelated sub-themes of work, care and mobility we hope to stimulate active discussions on new pathways to ageing research.

As part of this conference we will host a Cambridge University Press Sponsored Special Workshop: Writing for Ageing and Society. This workshop will focus on how to navigate the publishing process. Editors from the journal Ageing and Society will share their insights on the common weak features of research papers, and elaborate on issues that researchers should watch out for when drafting their manuscripts.

For more information and submitting abstract please visit conference website https://conference.manipal.edu/ICNDRA2019/Default.aspx

Thanks in advance!

Best wishes, Ajay
