Cineimpact Film & Visual Anthropology Summer Academy - scholarships & 1, 000 euro grant

Dear Madame/ Sir,

I am writing to you on behalf of CINEIMPACT regarding the 5th edition of the CINEIMPACT Film Summer Academy that brings together since 2014 Creative Documentary & Visual Anthropology.

The academy will take place between 25th of August - 08th of September in Romania – Sibiu. 12 international participants will from teams developing their ideas into short films under the guidance of the tutors: Ger Duijzings, Ionut Piturescu and Augustin Pop. During the field research, development, production and post-production of the films, the participants will be inspired by master-classes held by invited experts.

CINEIMPACT Film Academy has proven to be a revealing learning experience for filmmakers from diverse cultures such as Sweden, Italy, United States, Spain, China, England, Brazil, Germany, Greece, Ghana, Slovakia, Netherlands, Turkey,  Croatia, Hong Kong, Switzerland, etc. As confirmation of CINEIMPACT Academy's power to inspire students, we are proud to mention that "Pattern or Not”,  by Dorottya Balczo (director/cinematographer) & Andra Nedelcu (director/visual artist) - was successfully selected and propelled to participate in one of the sections dedicated to short film (SFC) at Cannes Film Festival 2016, while one of the feature length projects initiated during 2017's Academy, "Mother and Son" (by Irish-Italian director David Power), was selected in 2018 at the prestigious LisbonDocs Film Forum, organized by European Documentary Network.  

The CINEIMPACT Jury will award a 1,000 Euro grant to the best film project.

Dedicated to the scope of supporting cinema education, production and innovation on non-discriminatory principles, CINEIMPACT offers 6 Summer Film Scholarships.
