Summer Program and Production Grant for Filmmaking and Visual Anthropology in Transylvania. Few Days left for scholarship application

Dear Vaneasa Members,

Sorry for cross-posting. I am writing to you about the 2022 Cineimpact Summer Academy dedicated to researching the symbiotic textures of Heritage and Social Life in a two thousands years old cross-cultural Transylvanian Spa, challenging the lenses of Filmmaking and Visual Anthropology with its unique, still universal micro-world. The program will take place in the astonishing Baile Herculane (30th July – 14th of August) and will experiment with crisscrossing the limitations of Film and Anthropology in helping us experience deeper the relations between Heritage, Habitat and Social Revitalization across our convalescent, regenerating societies.  During the creative program, the students will be taught to research, design, shoot and edit immersive film stories inspired by the realities of the local society. The on-site program have an on-line complementary unit, dedicated to the work-in-progress stage of the projects. The program is addressed to students and professionals interested specifically in the fields of Visual Ethnography and Media Studies, Heritage and Social Studies, along Visual Anthropology and Documentary Film in general.

Cineimpact Film Academy is a collaborative transdisciplinary catalyst that fuses Film and Social Sciences methods to create empathic film and multimedia projects. Since 2014 bridging Filmmaking with Visual Anthropology methods, Cineimpact Academy has supported students from diverse backgrounds, coming from more than 20 countries and 5 continents. Students' films produced during the Cineimpact programs were appreciated by numerous festivals and forums, including shorts developed into feature length projects, such as "Mother and Son" made by the Italian-British filmmaker David Power and selected by the prestigious Lisbon Docs Film Forum of European Documentary Network, etc.  Few spots left available, for more information, please visit the Cineimpact Film Academy platform,  Best wishes, Alina MatacheProgram ManagerMobile: 0040720002903Website:
